Theodore
Orson, Esq.
Mr. Orson is a co-founder of the Providence, Rhode Island law firm of Orson and Brusini Ltd. He is admitted to the bars of Rhode Island and Massachusetts where he practices in the areas of insolvency and commercial litigation. He has garnered national attention for his work as lead counsel to the Receiver of the City of Central Falls and the State of Rhode Island in the Chapter 9 case of the City of Centrals Falls. He also represents the State of Rhode Island in two pending hospital receiverships. He represents all types of parties to federal bankruptcy cases and state court receivership proceedings, including debtors, creditors and equity security holders. Mr. Orson has been appointed permanent receiver of over 40 Rhode Island companies by the Superior Court of the State of Rhode Island. He has also been appointed ancillary receiver by the superior courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut. Mr. Orson also lectures throughout the country on Chapter 9 bankruptcy. He graduated from Hampshire College, Amherst, Massachusetts (B.A. 1983) and Northeastern University School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts (J.D., June 1987).
Stephen
M. Brusini, Esq.
Co-Founder of the firm, Mr. Brusini graduated from the College of the Holy Cross (B.A. 1988) and Cornell Law School (J.D. 1991). He also served as an economic policy intern at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Steve practices in the areas of corporate and business law, commercial transactions, business succession planning, employment law, administrative law, and real estate, and serves as general counsel to a number of Rhode Island and regional entities. He acted as a lobbyist for many years in the Rhode Island General Assembly and has authored numerous statutes and regulations. Steve also mediates business disputes and business aspects of domestic disputes and has received over 120 hours of mediation training, including 40 hours of advanced training at Harvard Law School’s Program on Mediation. He currently serves as Chair of the East Greenwich Planning Board. Steve is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York, and before the U.S. District Courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Steve was also selected for inclusion in the 2013 Best Lawyers in America for the practice of Corporate Law.

Mr. La Terra Bellina graduated from Boston University (B.A. 1995) and Roger Williams University School of Law (J.D. 1998). He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. John joined Orson and Brusini Ltd. in 2006 and continues to practice in the areas of insolvency, commercial and civil litigation, corporate and business law, employment law, environmental law, personal injury, and land use and zoning law.
Matthew D. Rocheleau, Esq.
Mr. Rocheleau graduated from the University of Vermont (B.A. 1995) and Thomas M. Cooley Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1998). He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. Before joining Orson and Brusini Ltd. in 2011, Matt practiced in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, toxic tort litigation, and personal injury. He continues to practice in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, and corporate and business law.
Lauren M. Regan, Esq.
Ms. Regan graduated from the University of New Hampshire (B.A. Political Science, magna cum laude, 2005) and from Roger Williams University School of Law, (J.D., cum laude, 2010). She is admitted to practice in the Rhode Island and Massachusetts state courts, and before the United States District Court for the Districts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Lauren currently practices in the areas of corporate and business law, commercial transactions, insolvency, and real estate.

Ms. McManus graduated from Siena College (B.A., English, magna cum laude, 2008) and from Roger Williams University School of Law, (J.D., magna cum laude, 2011). She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island state courts. Katie currently practices in the areas of corporate and business law, commercial transactions, real estate, employment law, personal injury and civil litigation.

Ms. Fagan graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (B.A. Journalism, concentration in Legal Studies, 2007) and from Roger Williams University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2011). Harmony Conti Bodurtha, Esq.
Ms. Bodurtha graduated from the University of Rhode Island (B.A. 1999) and from Florida State University College of Law (J.D. 2002). She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Prior to joining Orson & Brusini Ltd. in 2009, Harmony practiced in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, and creditors’ rights. She currently practices in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, insolvency, commercial litigation, and corporate and business law.
Gordon A. Carpenter, Esq.
Mr. Carpenter graduated from Amherst College (B.A 1963) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1966) where he served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review and became a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Carpenter established his private practice as a business attorney and counselor in June 1995 to provide attentive, experienced legal services to private businesses and their owners. Prior thereto, Gordon was a partner of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP (Providence, RI; Boston, MA) practicing for 12 years in the Corporate and Securities Department. Gordon's career also includes nine years as general counsel for a Massachusetts-based publicly-held franchisor corporation and seven years of corporate practice with a major Boston law firm. Gordon's practice includes attending to the legal needs of business organizations of varying size including creating limited liability companies, corporations, and other business entities; extensive practice in purchases and sales of businesses; considerable experience in commercial financing, including those involving secured transactions, and intellectual property (trademark and copyright) protection. Gordon was instrumental in the drafting and passage of the Rhode Island Limited Liability Company Act and has lectured and written extensively on LLCs. In addition, having represented and been general counsel to public corporations, he is also familiar with aspects of federal and state securities laws. Gordon has considerable experience in counseling persons proposing new businesses. This work has included trademark and copyright matters, advising and preparing entity formation and other documentation appropriate to launch and maintain a new business. Mr. Carpenter is admitted to both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bars. Gordon serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Visiting Nurse Home Care, was past Chairperson of a major RI Chamber of Commerce and continues as an active member of local Chambers of Commerce.
