Kristin N. Matsko

With more than a decade of experience in trust and estate law, Kristin’s practice focuses on representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries in court proceedings in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including contested guardianships, trust modifications and terminations, elder financial abuse, will contests and cemetery matters.

In addition to traditional estate and trust planning, Kristin also advises clients regarding all aspects of special-needs trust planning and administration, elder law and Medicaid planning, including Medicaid appeals. Kristin knows that the federal and state Medicaid regulations can be overwhelming and stressful for individuals and families to navigate. Kristin provides peace of mind to her clients by helping them understand the intricacies of these governmental benefits programs and the planning options.

Kristin’s practice includes a unique concentration in cemetery law. She previously served on a large cemetery advisory board and has significant experience with cemetery regulations, disinterment issues and other matters involving mortal remains. She also represents corporate entities with a variety of issues relative to the administration of perpetual care trusts established to provide for the ongoing care and maintenance of burial grounds, gravesites and mausoleums.
