Harmony Conti Bodurtha

Harmony is a litigator who focuses her practice on insolvency, receivership, business and commercial litigation. Appointed to the R.I. Superior Court Receivership panel in 2017, she has experience in an array of industries. Harmony also has experience litigating a variety of corporate disputes, including shareholder derivative, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and business tort claims. She has also handled general commercial, civil, personal injury, products liability and premises liability litigation matters over the years. She practices in all state and federal courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Harmony enjoys working with clients, learning about their businesses and helping them find strategies and solutions to resolve their disputes in order to achieve the best outcome. She advises clients on all of their dispute resolution options including litigation, a pre-suit resolution or settlement through alternative dispute resolution.

Notable Experience

• Associate counsel to the Receiver of the City of Central Falls and the State of Rhode Island in the Chapter 9 case of the City of Central Falls.
• Represented the Rhode Island Department of Health and other departments of the state in two large community hospital receiverships.
• Negotiated and obtained a six-figure settlement for clients in a wrongful death case.

• Harmony lives in Rehoboth, Massachusetts with her husband, two children and a Bernese Mountain Dog.
• She currently serves on the Development Committee of the Gordon School in East Providence, Rhode Island.
• Rhode Island Bar Association, current member of Debtors and Creditors Rights Committee and past chair of the New Lawyers Committee.
